1968 - "2001", the film that was just like 1968!

"2001 - A Space Odyssey", the film, was just like1968, the year in which it was launched -- different, original, like no other one.

It was a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece which have the no-modest propose to show the mankind journey since the very beginning (the real begin, from the "man-ape"). The result was a sensational movie which really showed in a unique way this long, long journey in less than three hours.

One of the most difficult things is try to explain this film. Divided in three parts, from the Pre-History to the distant future, thousand of years later, the picture showed in its three episodes the contacts of the mankind with a mysterious monolith.

What does it mean? It is really tough to explain but if you see the picture you can at least start to understand. It is not easy. I have seen "2001" more than 30 times and in all of them I discovered new messages and meanings -- just like million of people who also did it.

But you can say that "A Space Odissey" is a picture that should be launched just in 1968. It was revolutionary, unique, with a sensational production and a sound track that is part of the cinema's history.

The problem of "2001" is that it should be called "1968". It was a film that it was just like 1968. The most original ever made, sensational, remarkable. And was not understood completely during its first appearence. Even more, it had imitations that were far, far worse. Nothing like the original.

You have to see this movie. There is a lot to lose if you don't do it.
